1960s
In 1959, a branch was opened in Breda under the name Kongskilde, where the production of hot-air guns mainly for the agricultural sector was started in 1965.
1970s and 1980s
The quality and reliability of the devices produced was very well received by the agricultural sector, as well as other sectors such as construction and the automotive industry. The hot-air guns were soon being sold throughout Europe via a dealer network.
1990s
In 1994, this business line at Kongskilde was taken over by Honing Beheer Groep and the name was changed to Thermobile Industries B.V. The sales office in France, Thermobile France Sàrl (TFR) and the branch in the UK, Thermobile UK Ltd. (TUK), were then added.
2000s
Sales continued to other sectors and more and more countries and territories; not only in Europe, but also in Asia and North America. Sales were also begun to importers with their own models, colours and range names, all produced by Thermobile in Breda.
Today
In order to be able to meet the increased demand, in the calmer summer period, stock is mainly produced based on sales forecasts and, during this period, many modular parts and semifinished products are made that speed up the assembly time in the winter. In addition, new fan heaters are brought to the market every year to meet changing market demand. Sustainability plays an increasingly important role in this.
For the 2020/2021 season we have expanded our range with a number of new products and developments.
Mobile boiler 500kW
The new boiler with 500kW was developed for temporary use. During the development process, we formulated some requirements that our boiler must meet: robust, compact, easy to operate and maintain, efficient and reliable.
Mobile air heaters
The mobile air heater is a transportable warm air blower with heating water register for connection to our mobile heating units. It is used, for example, as a building heater, hall heater or tent heater in connection with our new 500kW boiler. It can also be used for cooling. They are built in a light, solid construction on wheels and are equipped with a thermostat, a cable with moulded plug, an air vent and an adjustable ventilation grille.
Air heater IMAC-3000 EC 2T
As a supplement to the successful IMAC 2000 and IMAC 4000 we have developed the IMAC 3000. This heater has a powerful EC centrifugal fan that supplies 18,000 m3 of high-pressure air. As standard, the unit is equipped with a two-stage burner, which delivers 300kW at the highest setting. It goes without saying that the new IMAC 3000, like the IMAC 2000 and IMAC 4000, is extremely reliable, stable and durable.
