Fire-retardant sandwich element from Stadur conforms to B1 standard
There is more Stadur in tent events than first meets the eye, because Stadur doesn't build its own tent constructions or toilet wagons, but works behind the scenes. However, it is all the more innovative and effective there.
The group of companies based in Hammah and Pliezhausen was established as a one-man enterprise in 1982. Today, the family-owned company employs more than 150 people and is one of Europe's largest and most innovative manufacturers of versatile composite elements, manufactured from a variety of different top layers. The company has also been active in the tent business for several years now.
Together with various purchasing customers at home and abroad, Stadur has been able to implement many projects. In addition, the mid-size company has already developed customer-specific standards. From the regional tent builders, who use the panels on account of the enormous saving of weight, to the globally operative providers of mobile building solutions for the Olympic Games, motor racing and other large-scale events, Stadur has become acquainted with the entire bandwidth of this industry in the past years. Some projects with well-known manufacturers are still currently under development.
Stadur's success principle is just as simple as it is convincing: "We offer our services and we make our know-how and our production capacities available. We want to develop standard and special solutions together with the specialists in the industry, whether large or small." And the past years have shown in impressive fashion that this works very well, as Thomas Lütje and Thomas Böpple, who are responsible for sales in the tent industry, explain. Stadur relieves the tent manufacturers of the time-consuming and costly development work. Thomas Lütje says: "The manufacturers in the tent construction sector should make use of the experience of the respective specialists. And wherever lightweight and stable panels are to be used, where solutions for thermal and noise insulation as well as fire protection are desired, we are naturally among the front-runners with our know-how – that's our job."
Stadur is continuously developing its product range in order to further improve its market position. The company benefits from the fact that it is globally operative in many completely different markets. The North Germans are continuously developing new products and applications in all areas together with customers. Stadur also wishes to do that in the tent business.
Stadur has succeeded in developing a composite element that conforms to the B1 standard. This product is predestined for use in tent construction due to its flame retardant properties.
